just washed the car, popped bonnet added screen wash etc..

just cleaned my panel filter and put my cold air feed back on, put it all back 2getha and started her up..

engine nearly dies when you let the revs drop, they drop to about 450 rpm and it stays there.

and the exhaust emmisions light is on..

so i disconnect battery, and waited 5 - 10 mins. reconnected and it was the engine electronics light on now instead.. turn engine off..

turned back on and this time both the lights come on but the engine electronics one turns off.. so the exhaust emmisions light is still on.

any ideas?

im meant to be going to donny this weekend and the soonest vaux can look at it is monday... coz there slackers.. as usual!

but by accident as the engine was running i covered the air intake and it stalled the engine.. would this have anything to do with it..

also the engine was rather wet (holes in bonnet)

i'd suggest the same.
forgot to connect mine the other day.
needed throttle to prevent stalling, and sounded very rough.

is the filter still wet?
see how it runs without the panel.
obviously don't go for a drive without it though.

did you wash under the bonnet?
could have wet some electrics.

ok, i took the filter off and let it run, just does exactly the same.

rev it to about 5k, and let it drop and it drops to about 450revs and stays there

...or a bit of water is now in the AFM. Give it a while to dry out and try again...
