Nope, thats the idea of spyware, some people have no spyware monitoring, and it just installs without you knowing

I guess you have you security settings too low if it just loaded the page without asking to install stuff

id try Microsofts Beta.
Found to be pretty good.
Install It, Update it, Do a Deep Scan
