Saxo vts and 106 gti 0-60 times. I looked on parkers technical data not long ago and the vts and gti 0-60 times were very similar around seven and a half seconds. Now it says the vts is 7.4, and the gti is 8.4, im sure the gti is much closer to the vts than that, anybody know?
parkers data for 106 gti

If you want to loom at some real car stats, dont look at parkers. Check out www.evo.co.uk
They have an identical engine, and weight pretty much the same. In fact, they are pretty much the same throughout, bar looks.

gti and vts lumps are identical reason the manufacturers times differ is pug tested theres with two people and a full tank of fuel mainly to keep the insurance at a lower grp than the saxo to make it more appealing, but both are 7.4

Along the top there is a menu, go to 'Driven' and then select 'The knowledge'.

ya I know the gear box differs slightly between the 2 but engine is the same... 0-60 is still about the same too... parkers is shit!
said my corsa was 65 when it was 75 bhp and now saying my cars 8.4 secs to 60 when its 7.4... mothercluckers!

yeh I know - but everyone looks at parkers as if they are the holy grail of stats. I think parkers should put a message saying 'These stats are only official figures and may differ in some cars'... or something.
So many people believe they are true.
