jus sold a phone, and got this email fro, the buyer:
Hi Mate, do you take paypal payments?
Alternatively, I can send the funds directly to your bank.
I've no idea where my cheque book is as I never use it!!!
If you want me to send the funds to your bank, let me know the sort code and a/c number and i'll get it sent. Quicker than a cheque anyway.
Cheers
is there any risks in him paying straight into my account?

I like paying by bank transfer, easy enough if you bank online and if its the same bank its usually instant.
Someone with your sort code and account number can potentially make a card with it on, get some fake id in your name and draw money out at a branch though. Very unlikely to happen tbh.

In away yes but they could not buy things without the card number and most of the time the secuirty code, a recipt from pubs such as brewser fairs which do not blank out the card number is more risky.
