thats is low mileage for an XE, is that from new or rebuilt mileage. I personally (with probably the same knowledge about engines - know how to replace simple things) would go for the corsa XE.

Hi Mav nice to see youv'e sold the veccy...the only thing Ive had go on the corsa was the gearbox, dizzy/hall sensor and bottom ball joints, all of which have been sorted by Swillington autos who I have alot of faith in as they all have at least 10 years in rallying, Steve who runs the place used to be a mech for ford motorsport, and Gary used to build Xe's and conversions into various cars. They all run eccy cosworths and Steve as a Ultima. They are also Scooby specialists,
I have also had the suspension fitted there which was brand new in November(Koni SSK sport adjustables) By the way will get some pics tomorrow not had chance today.
I also have 2 haynes manuals a corsa for the car and a cavalier one for the engine

out of all the 2ltrs on here
you have matt_c's and mortys!
Matts is not an everyday car and needs fixing first!
Mortys i think looks a treat, leather and lovely gsi kit right wheels!
The engine is young and with anycar even your vec a problem could happen the next day! Id say go for it and keep the change incase it goes wrong!
You will for sure have lots of fun in it and fun little car!
My dad mid 50's asks to take my car out sometimes as its just a little pocket rocket and good fun to drive!

GO FOR IT MAV!!

You will know if its not right like anycar mate!
Just change the belt and make sure you check the car each week, they just need little bit of tlc like all cars should really!
