ok been on the phone to adrian flux and they said that a woman made a claim off me last year.
basically she cut me up so i swerevd out the way but caught her rear bumper. was only doing 20mph!!! but she made a claim for 536 for her jags bumper. now i offered to pay it to my insurance but i heard nothing for 8months.
however they said i can pay the money to them now and they will give me 3NCB back should i do it? before my policy runs out

or argue that i offered to pay it in the first place but the Highway company went behind my back and got it off my insurance company? and not pay it but loose NCB

for 3NCB I would suggest to pay it. Surely if you have plans to argue it out and take it to court or whatnot. You can try that after you've at least secured your NCB's
