Ive been there

Just been out for like an hour and a half drive all over the place... first time me driving it - put my smaller thinner shoes on ... Let's just say Grin factor.

I'm not saying the 106 gti is the quickest thing around as it's not, but its the quickest thing I've ever driven and in 2nd gear at like 30, get it accelerating from 5 thousand rpm on wards and it's just quick!!

Not been in a 2.0 16v corsa or driven one so can't say what its like compared, but I know the corsa is quicker with more torque and power, but at the moment the 106 gti is a definate improvement on the corsa Sxi.

You just end up catching the traffic up ahead so quick.

really nice drive, comfy leather seats. It's nice too as I can poodle about in 4th and still be able to accelerate a bit if needed. In corsa I constantly had to have it revving over 3.5k rpm just to keep moving.

nice buy, 2.0 corsa maybe quick in a straight line, but saxos and 106s have shit hot handling and youll piss on them in the bends

Yes, the 106 has a shocking lack of space in the footwell.

Already adjusted to it - just wore thin shoes. My normal shoes I kept hitting brake + throttle at the same time. I have size 12 feet, but when I wear my Adidas Tuscany Good Year Eagle's or whatever they are, it's no prob driving it.

Only prob is the clutch has to be pushed to the floor to change gear, which has equalled a couple of crunches in the gears and not the quickest speeds up or down through the gear box.
