Is it possible to cut a wire or something to disable this so that it is on full brightness all the time?

When I put blue LEDs in from Cobra, it deactivated it anyway, so maybe just do that.

I always manage to turn it down by hitting it with my knee when getting in / out of the car.

Same here. dont even notice im doing it but always get back in and they're on really low. oh well its not thaaaaat much effort to turn it back up again!

mine used to dim iteself automatically because too much power was being drained from using my amps and subs etc

was an extra on the top models find a very base model and take the headlight switch out of it!
