I'm racing a Nova Gsi in the 750mc championship, the car finnished 6th out of 80 cars last year.
Quickest cars tend to be saxo and 106, these are changing hands for £7k ish wheras the old Nova was ess than half that and will give them a good run for the money.
I was racing in Rallycross stockhatch before in a 205, 205 still quick in rallycross but not top 10 anymore in circuit stockhatch.
These are also Corsa 1.4 16v in stockatch but so far not that quick.
Anyone Use Metro Gti 1.4 16v's? would have thought with them weighing naff all, and having a strong (105BHP?) engine would make them a good contender?

True .
Even still though - what's more embarrasing, driving the metro or being beaten by one?

I never let it past, even when its been quicker its so close its easy to hold position if you keep the right line and dont make a mistake.

I saw a metro at the rallycross, sounded awesome. Danos rallye does well in stock hatch, I heard VTRs and Rallyes are top dogs but its usually the ones who spend thousands having suspension and things set up pin perfect that come out on top.

Same with most motorsport even when restricted sadly money always comes into play.
