I have noticed several trends during the series of wife swap.
The Northern family: Always seem to be pikey ones? rough, chavish, foul mouthed, thick etc etc
The Southern family : Always seem to be the posh ones, well spoken, well educated, better house and car etc.
Anyone else noticed this on wife swap? Do the producers do this on purpose?

Ever noticed how alot of northern builders etc travel down south to work too? More money apparantly

seriously though have you not noticed it? One family are always chavs and the other family always upper class. And the former are northern and the latter southern.

They do the rich / poor thing though on all these types of programmes...
There is no point in putting a rich person in with another rich person as the lifestyle would be the same, hence why they have 2 total opposites

yes agreed, but why are the northern families always the pikeys?
Is this proof that north is pikey/chav and the south is posh/respectable

i know what Seth means and i'm sure not everyone up north is pikey/chav and a little worse off, just most of them
