my pc at home has been playing up. was given a boot disk. my computer is now stuck in dos. how do i get back into windows?
anybody know?

yeh. its just stays in dos. wont load windows. jst has a flashing cursor

Are you able to type a command?

If so just type: exit
And that should exit dos.

taken disk out. wont load windows when starting up. just does nothink. aint got backup disk!

ok when you get the prompt up.does it say C:\_
if so, type DIR

if there is no Windows folder or anything else, then the bootdisk has formatted your system

put dir in, just cum up wiv alist which dont make no sense to me. is there anyway i can get back to windows by typing in a command or somethink?

if ucan get hold of a windows CD u can try booting from that. How did u get the problem? u2u if u ned any help im doing computer science at uni
