Got the 15% reduced supercharger pulley fitted today Really happy with the extra grunt ive got now, there is a definite noticable improvement in power. Along with the induction kit and miltek exhaust the cars feeling really nice to drive at the moment.

Also got new bridgestones fitted all round today to replace the shiite bmw runflats...handling and ride feels better.

Getting some bonnet stripes fitted this weekend and hoping to get a chip/remap soon to make full use of the mods ive done so far

How's the new pulley different? Is it shorter, or tighter or what?

its 15% smaller-- i dont know how they measure this, i asume its on circumference. Basically just works the supercharger harder. Makes a lovely noise now with induction as well.

Am loving this cold weather lol

smaller pulleys usually reduce the life of the charger too, because as you say its working harder.

Not sure about the new minis though, I know there are a few tuning packs like the works, hartage etc. which most probably use a smaller pulley anyway?

Not really sure mate--- with a chip it should be over 200. Low end torque has improved dramatically. it actually is smooth and fast off the line now.

Yeah it doesnt reduce the life much-- most of the performance kits used reduced pully. People have them over 80,000 miles with no problems on the mini forums

Perhaps the injectors and injection system can cope up to the Works level of tune.

Yeah i definately need a remap-- hoping to get that done soon.... But i dont think the injection system is changed for the works kit so it should cope with extra boost....maybe thats why the works kit is so shite.
