well as ppl know iv had a valver put in my car, so had to change the clocks to cable ones! on my sport clcks, the red light for the petrol gage came on when slightly the needle goes into the red. so then i knew i had about 20miles left before topping up. with the GSI clocks, the light seems to not come on when in the red?? r these dials meant to do that? the light works when i switch the ignition on! because when light comes on i fill up!

Mine will go well into the red before the light comes on - but i dont like running it nearly dry to be fair.
