to cut a long story short i had a 20xe in my corsa now been removed and replaced with a 1.2 spi engine which is what it originally was, the only difference is the 1.2 which is now in it was from a merit which didnt have the imobiliser and the mfd and has a 4 speed gearbox
dont know if this has anything to do with it but when i turn the headlights on the indicators come on instead but the sidelights do work, the indicators work normally but when i switch on the hazard lights the sidelights flash
there was 3 wires left over when i put the 1.2 back in, blue/red which is for the speed signal which the merit didnt have so nowhere to connect it (correct me if im wrong!), a brown and a black wire.
im guessing its an earthing problem so anyone got any ideas and has it got anything to do with the engine swap or just coincidence, spose i could have disturbed something
Cheers, Chris
