Anyone got a G4 or G5 Clifford alarm where you can connect a laptop via a serial cable?

I have the cable coming from the alarm box but been told i need a dongle and another lead to connect to laptop.

the lead from alarm has a male serial connector, so wont connect to a laptop without the extra lead.

anywhere online i can get this?
