To tint or not to tint? That is the question.

My old Astra had tints on all the windows and I loved them, they werent overly dark but enough to make a difference, also the added security the offered was a bonus.

My uncle works for a local windscreen company and is the head honcho on the tints so I got the Astra done for £150 cash.

He was over at Christmas time and was asking about the Corsa, with this new law they are only tinting a 1/5th of the cars they did in 2003. He is just off the phone and quoted me £200 cash to do all the windows (including the front to) I would just not have to tell people where I got them done (although most people will be able to guess)

However do I or dont I?

With the silver car and dark black interior I would have to be very careful not to go dark and make it look silly ( I hate dark black limo tints).

Its not the money im fussing over, I have that sitting at work to collect its just wether I need it done or not. If its going to spoil the car or get me pulled over and told to remove them its pretty pointless.

Photoshops of a very light tint would be welcome.

Surely he'd be more interested in getting you to promote the tinting company... if sales are down..?

I would not bother, to much cost and the fines involved.

Its not his company, but they have always been expensive.

Its Lummar tints which are the dogs, and it comes with a lifetime guarantee and warranty.

Not all tints are illegal, don't have illegal tints and you'll be fine.
