Whoever it was who said about the Currys website, that doesn't mean they're in store, so there's no point going there.

Just means they're in a warehouse somewhere for the internet sales

Who cares at the end of the day nothings designed to last anymore anyway...

I think on average there prob about the same. the problem is there has been more ps2 sold compared to the x box....... so it does look like more ps2s are faulty but how can u say this when there has been more sold in the first place...... i worked for comet for over 3 yrs and id say its even down the middle just my opinion anyway

Never had any problems with my chipped ps2, apart from when it was dropped and I had to replace the controller port.

Kurt, 80% of the time, disc read errors are caused by a faulty cog on the laser mechanism, which is easily sorted, but most just replace the entire laser assembly (the inner part)

bit daft really but serves sony right for using cheap components. Sony US regretted it when they had to repair a shitload of out of warranty consoles

At the moment my missess brothers ps2 is scratching his discs (like mine used to do) thing is his warrenty run out last month

There are fine scratches and also scratches like plasic has been rubbed onto it sort of thing (scuffs) he put his xmas prezzie in there (san andreas) refused to play it, he had a look at the disc and it looked like a 5 year old disc it was fuked !

Would you say this ps2 is fixable richie?
