Has anyone been in one?

Seen a fairly new one for £3995 with low miles.

Seem fairly quick from the stats 132 bhp, 0-60 in 7.8 secs, 126 mph

Not sure what insurance would be like though

What do people think about them?

lmao shiiiitttttteeeeeee i tell thee.

Good for a proton, but not for a hot hatch. Look at how much they have depreciated! says it all. Some lad at amandas work has one, he stares at the cupra when he drives out, oh how id love to show him what a proper hot hatch is

Have any of you drove the car in question?

I got given a Ferrari driving experience for my birthday and you drive three cars....

Proton GTi
Elise
Ferrari F355

The proton was stunning - so well suited to track use - the suspension set up is from Lotus and with 130bhp and a 9k rev limit, it was awesome to drive.

Felt at home on the track and i think it would feel good on the road.

Just my thoughts but i looked at the proton badge and thought "oh dear" but when i drove it its hard to think that they made the horrific cars as well

Yeah, i know what you mean, I had a rover 220 coupe turbo, 200 bhp, 0-60 in 6.4, really fast, light and nimble, handled nice, but every time i got out and saw the rover badge on the front it made me think of old men in flat caps,

LMFAO boy, prepared to be owned! you are soooooo wrong

9k rev limit? PMSL

According to EVO

133bhp @ 6500 rpm
0-60 = 9.4

best is to come

0-100 36.5 oh dear

Its got to be a misprint, those stats are shocking. but conclusion is, its slow.

They do handle well yea, I said that above, it actually outhandled me by a way...

but suited to the track????
not a chance, these things are suited to going sloooooooooowly

the 130bhp is all produced way high up in the rev range (which doesnt reach 9k as standard!) and below this they are gutless.

Good on a very twisty track maybe!
