I want to make a centre console that can hold a screen in ,
but i dont know where to start?
would fibreglass be the best stuff to use?
has anyone got any tutorials?

if you have a go yourself you'll really enjoy it. build it up using wood similar dimensions to that of little wood (1/2cm2) and use that as a template to house the screen. revs are doin a jag with nice rear end ICE follow that its a similar process

Cut the vents at the top out and make a MDF frame that fits your screen then fix to the centre console and then fibreglass it in but i didnt have to on mine all mine was was a little bit of filler, then just move the MFD and cut the bottom across piece out of that and you have a screen in the console!

really is that easy, did mine in a couple of hours

so , if i use mdf and build on top on my current centre console , sand it and make it smooth , then put the fibreglass on top of this?

Nope no need for the fibreglass just high build primer then smooth that then spray!

Look at it before but it looks a bit fiddly to get apart and they are quite handy as its the only safe place to put a drink with all the alcantara ive got in there!

maybe just spray it then too much the rest as looks tad out of palce and instead of that thing in the middle woteva it is have like a fone holder smoothed in of sum sort
