I was wondering the other day, if i had a brand new car with say a manufacturers six year guarantee on bodywork. Then say sumone crashed into me and my car needed one side replacing. what would happen to my warranty on that part of the car that was damaged? Surely the manufacturers warranty would be void on that part of the car but then if the accident wasnt your fault why shuld you lose out on the warranty you had??

If the work is repaired by the place that offers the guarantee, then it should still be enforced

Its a bit of a touchy situation now, as you had it repaired by a company that was probably not authourised to do so under the terms of your warranty.

But if the car looks fine like it did before the accident, they arent going to know any different

can you say that you dont want your vehicle repaired at the place the insurance company tells you to goto then? can you select your own place? i didnt think you could as they did this to stop people getting over inflated quotes
