sounds like a diesel on idle, really knocky and gets faster with more gas.



is it something that oil treatment can help?

could be your headgasket - do a compression test

does it just sound shit, or is it running shit?

if its just the sound & seems to knock/bang, pos big ends

nah, isn't anything major, just sounds wore, runs on all cylinders, just sounds like the inside are loose

take the sump off & have a wee look - just check for play i'd guess

Stop stickin ya knob in the exhaust then . No sounds like tappets sticking. Is your timing out? Or has your timing belt slipped a tooth?

timing belt slipped ages ago, when i first had car, all got repaired, has started in the last week or so.

oil level was low last i checked,

run it at about 5k RPM & then get someone to pour a jug of water down the air pipe & wait for the bangs

mine was doing this, then i put in 2.5 litres of oil and it sounded much better

could be exhaust gaskets had them go on my 1ltr and it sounded like a diesel
