Yeah don't know why they spent all that money on development they should have given him his Mum's 1300cc Colt to win the WRC

Well to start with Mcrae never drove a P1

the TM Evo was a special edition Lancer developed to highlight Tommi Makinen's fouth championship victory in a Mitsubishi Lancer.

The point me and Nath are saying is that while the P1 is no doubt a 'classic' the TME is also an undoubted classic and will be for many years. You only have to look at the market to see their fetching a fair whack more than a 'normal' Evo and any classic Impreza.

The TME of course it was a classic as it was a limited edition to clebrate an event.

Can't even compair it to an impreza as every gimp has one and badges it up as a WRX

and the same can be said about evos, especially rich daddy kids and estate agents.
If both cases, middle age balding men buy and drive them because they think their "hip" and cool

plus who ever said McRae drove a P1 ?!?! i said it was from the days of McRae

Still I would not say the Evo is a classic in a way just a fanastic cars made in limited number after all its a standard evo with better bits clipped on.

E types, GT40s, F50, cars that are not only fashionable but a pin up.
Only one rally car i can think of every gets this status in my eyes and thats the lancia Stratos

RS200 would not have been a classic if it did not kill someone and stop the class of rally from being banned,
plus i know a lad who owns one shittly made car.

But i guess if you want to go it on cars that win rally championships then the 206 is a classic
