I feel your car was more to blame than the filter.

Pipercross PK191XL filter.

I've no idea what all these "hot air scaremongerers" are on about - I've had an XL cone (BFO) fitted to my 1.6 for the past couple of months and used to sit in rush hour traffic. No problems to report, infact it sounded lovely

The car would take in the same amount of air though... the BFO cone has a greater surface area and definately makes the car sound louder than with other filters, but the car will only take in as much air as it can.

I have a drilled box and a courtney filter.

Induction kit made the car slower (it is possible! ) and made a weird supercharger noise at high revs.

you remove your air box then dril it, on the left and bottom side only though, dont drill holes abover the filter or the side next to the engine

they do a nice powertec sl1x for corsa C which is stainless steel. Looks good...same size as the big BFO ...just a tight squeeze

Sounds awsome and never had a flat spot or performance downgrade.

Courtenay filters are excellent quality and are cheaper than Pipercross panels .
