How much do you rekon you could get a car with 12 months MOT and 12 Months TAX for??
Does not matter in the slightest Make/Model or really condition as it won't really be getting driven.
£300?

Whats the point in buying a car if its not going to be driven, surely you would be better off saving the money?

If you want something to build up no claims on, Panda or Cinciquento, group 1 IIRC.

Er, well if you want to build up NCD, the vehicle does not have to be taxed/mot.. you can buy a wreck if you want! (The Insurance terms, do state the vehicle must be roadworthy e.t.c, but if your not going to use it, just ignore it, as you wont get pulled by cops, nor mek a claim.
The insurance is there to protect you while driving, and theft e.t.c... so you can choose TPFT or maybe TPO, and sit it on the drive with no wheels!
The insurance will continue as normal, and if the car is stolen/burnt out! Just cnx your insurance or do a change of vehicle

P.S if you want a cheap premium for this shitty car your buying - mek sure its group 1 - 1989ish maybe upto 1993 at the most (for full age of vehicle discount) & choose the lower cover available, and no optionals and a low annual mileage (mayb 1k or so)

What about if i want a scooby etc next year and they look at what car i had before and be all funny about it?
Surely it's better to be fully comp and at least have a 1.3 Fiesta or somthing?

They wont check that
buy a £50 1.0L R5 and stick it in your garage if you must do this to get your NCD - although I cant see why they wont quote you on a scooby, my renewal is 600 next year on mine!
