started stripping down the 1.2 and heres how far i got after work untill it got dark



and looking at the pistons i notice this...







what would cause all the shite accumulating round the top?

looking good so far mate.
did you get the a-frame sorted yet?

my pistons weren't that bad, but i scraped what shit there was on them off with a big flat driver.

its just carbon scrape it off but dont let it go down the side of the bores as it could cause a ring to stick try using a hover whilst scraping it off it perfectly normal

cheers for the info, dont matter now really as im gonna sling it in a skip as i have no further use for the 1.2

Myke - i think it will be easier to just hire a crane through work as i aint managed to get hold of any scaffolding poles.
