insurance wont even check!!

Look at the red corsa, was a 140 bhp tuned 1.6 and 1.4 on the books! Insured it as a 1.4 as well, and they spent ages checking the engine bay and they didnt even know, the guy asked what the mantzel was and i just said oh thats the inlet manifold! Nothing about performance!
So just shows how easily you can get away with it

This is a totaly different kettle of fish though, going from a X14XE to a X16XE.

The engines look the same and the only way they will ever know if its a different engine is if they take the head off and measure the size of the pistons, are they likely to do this? No way

Where as my conversion, 1.0 8v carb engine to a 1.6 16v fuel injection engine they are going to know straight away that my engine is'nt a 1.0 8v hence why its insured as a 1.6 16v.

I would insure a engine conversion on all my cars but not if I had a 1.4 16v and was changing it for a 1.6 16v, pointless they would never find out.

Yeh bu i think its mt accidents that fook me up!

Got 2 and only 2 yrs NCB!

Other than that i cant think why, below 5K miles and kept in garage on very good postcode!

My renewal is £803 just with the 1.4! And that is the very best i could get loads of others wanted £1100-1400!
