Also - anyone got any pics of their install ???

Gonna cover what ever I make in white Vynil (not that ally knows I want her vynil yet ), but really needs some inspiration !!!

I'd agree, even though MDF is probably easier to work with although I've never used fibreglass before I've heard it can be tricky, the extra work needed for the fibreglass would be worth it though as you can get a much more original shape or whatever and it looks better.

i would ditch the 6x9s mate and buy some components. you dont want to be mixing subs and 6x9s because they want each others air space.
personally i would have the amps in the middle on flat layers going upwards like stairs and then have 2 subs either side at angles.
my current set up was like this before some pikey tried to rob my car so i have taken some ice out. i'll find a pic.
its not fiberglass or any thing, just carpeted but at night when its lit p by a blue neon it looks decent, steve

thats what i am going to go for now when i get my new subs. to make life easier, if you are going to use fibreglass then build around the sub box if you get me..... so you dont have to fanny about figuring out the best amount of air space etc to get the most out of your subs

one thing that has always puzzled me. you know the way you need to make the boxs the correct sizes so as the subs will sound correct. well what do you do when it comes to fibergalssing, do you make boxes then fiberglass over them!!

probally a really simple question ive never done anything like it before!

tbh if uve not worked with fibreglass mattign before - Id be tempted to say - build boxes from mdf - then shap them and use P40 fibreglass filler to get smooth flush curves - then skim with the thinnest coat of filler u can get away with and either finish with paint or carpet

if u can get hold of matting, resing, hardener and accelerators - then go for it - learn by doing it - will take u a few attmepts but will be awesome eventually
