My car has been to F1 RR in bolton today to have the cams setup and chip mapped, they called in a specialst who knows the C20XEs inside out.

The day before it went the tappets became really noisy, i presumed because i hadent driven the car for a week. They continued to be noisey right up untill i dropped the car off on sat.

Ian at F1 rang me tonite and has told me that there is no oil pressure getting to the tappets, im going to collect the car tommorow afternoon.

In the last 2 months the car has had a complete top gasket set, 16 new tappets, and the usual service parts oil, filter, sparks + leads etc as well as the cylinder head being skimmed, ported and polished.

So what is causing it to not have any pressure? Simply a fucked oil pump or could it be more serious, blocked oil ways etc?

apologies for the essay
