Right if i were to drill my airbox would the insurance company class that as a mod and therefore invalidate my pollicy (if worst came to worst)???

Just wondering. I am with direct line and as i am under 25 i am unable to mod my car (well at least tell them i have) And for that reason my 17's are in the garage lol

And also what about the 17's......
Could i plead ignorance to them? saying i didnt know they had to be declared?

They ask if your car is modified from standard spec, so you can't really say they didn't try and squeeze it out of you.

Drilled air box is technically a performance enhancing mod but to run in to problems there you'd need to not have a spare box, or have someone inspect the car who knows what a standard one should look like and who spends some time under the bonnet. Unlikely.

as for airbox im pretty sure it would be classed as a mod...they will try and class ne thin as a mod these days

and about the alloys, the ignorance thing is not really a good idea as alloys are seen as one of the first mods to make so i presume they would not strand for the "i dint know routine"

but u could take them off if worst came to worse if u were claimin.

Already had to lol

But the filter would remain the same. I suppose i could just 'accidently' drop the base of the airbox on the floor and crack it open. Would have the same effect and i could claim i dropped it and am awating a new one
