ok here goes, my car went in to halfords/aa garage to have it fixed. this was 7 weeks ago, and it turned out to be the head gasket initially. now 7 weeks down the line there sayin they cant get it running properly again (summat about running on only 3 cylinders:boggle spoke to them today and told me to come and collect car, even though its still fuked. so i was like wtf i want it fixing etc. they sed come collect car and we will not charge u for head gasket repair, but i will still have to get the rest sorted which they could have caused. where do i stand legally about sueing them for damage to my car, and the inconvenaince of being with out a car for so long etc...they also sed if u try and claim against us it will just fall through coz the aa garages are shutting down....

sorry about essay but i really need advice coz dont have a fukin clue wat to do.

^^ no. halford garages are own by AA, or were. But my local AA garage is spot on so you probably just go the usual monkeys working at yours.

eitherway, i would go to you solicitor and get something sized up, as they have taken your car to be repaired - head gasket, but causes more damage in the long run.
This is, you could say yea sure, and find that it will cost you a grand to sort out, or it could be something little like a sensor pissing about/ecu screwed etc.

eitherway, i would get something i writting from them and if they cant fix it, take it to a garage that can and get them to pay for it, otherwise you will sue for loss of earnings, lack of car for the 7 weeks etc

Perrys Citroen broke my gearbox after splitting and resealing it! Lost 1st 5th and reverse, then the service manager said it was coincedence! In there as i speak, hopefully putting new box in it. Only went in for a leak!
