sounds ok ,could prob offer him a bit less too, put a sensible front bumper and bonnet on it such as gsi, and either do a colour match or two tone (front end diff colour faded in to gold colour)

its says on one of the posts that the insurance people have to repair it back to the state it was in previous to the crash. sorry if i'm being a stupid girl but surely thats not right?? otherwise we wouldnt have cars written off. someone please clarify for me!!

if the car is not a write off then they shud repair to to prevous status, obviously if its a write off its not repaired

worth 2k easily.
£10k sounds about right, ive spent £5k on mine in last 3months, you wouldnt think it to look at, never underestimate labour costs

a lot of insurers only repair to standard, mine do this also 
u declare mods but they aint covered its pathetic, and if u dont declare em the insurance is void

It used to be white 
I've seen this car in the flesh, looks really nice. 2k is very cheap. Think about it this way, It's a 1.4 16v which is probably worth the 2k standard. Plus the mods etc, it's worth far more than that.
Even if it wasn't to your taste, if you bought it sold certain parts and continued on in whichever way you like - it's a bloody bargain!
