Have these new phase colours fucked you up yet?

3 Phase - Weve gone from Red (Live) Yellow (Live) and Blue (Live) and Black for Neutral to Brown (L) Grey (L) Black(L) with Blue for the Neutral.......

Single Phase - To Brown (L) Blue (N)

Wonder how many problems this'll cause with existing installations......

Weve officially started using the new colours today, already been a couple of cock-ups with a couple of the lads making up wiring looms using brown, black and earth which is a big no-no.........

from January everytime you have something electrical done you have to test it and provide a certificate. the electrician has to be registered with the council and be part of the testing organisation. so anyone who cant provide testing has to give up or learn quickly!!

Everytime you have something done you should ALWAYS issue a certificate anyway, either a minor works certificate or the appropriate one for the installation.

I think it will be a bit like Corgi but for Sparks, being registered to a council would not be any use to the blokes on my firm as they work in multiple counties and boroughs.
