Anyone got any techniques they use to remove them, dont wanna damage nothing.

to get em out the gearbox diff get a big old flat blade screw driver or chisel and put it on a groove in the drive shaft near the gearbox end, point the chisel or screw driver away from the diff and hit the end with a hammer they should pop out, watch out for shit loads of gearbox oil that will come out seems to never stop

30mm socket and huge breaker bar on the wheel end.

Hammer it out of the hub, then pull on it - a few tugs should bring it out the gearbox nice and easy.

The long one will just fall out though when you un-bolt the bracket that holds the shorter part of the shaft onto the back of the gearbox.

just tug on it pretty firmly a few times.
if it doesn't come out easy, lever the cv body away from the diff housing with abar of some sort.
