Its a 128MB key but the bloody volume is only 117MB according to the properties Robbing bastards

Storage manufacturers quote storage sizes using BASE10, so there's 1000b per mb, 1000mb per gb etc, where as data is measured in BASE2, so there's 1024b per mb, 1024mb per gb etc. Once the harddrive is formatted, the OS shows the size in BASE2 so it appears to hold less.

storage devices say 1000000 bytes is 1Mb to make it look good, yet in real terms 1048576bytes is 1Mb...

THATS why all drives under-read the advertised length... (117Mb as apposed to 128Mb)

space also used/stolent for allocation tables & partition info, etc...
