doubt you'll lift it on your own, unless your seriously stacked.
better chance if it's less head aswell, but i'd rope someone in to help

well i aint little, i lift concrete lintles at work on my own and they must weight at least 190-200kg

mist, an engine is a bit more of an awkward shape to hols onto than a lintle, but if you can carry 200 keys on your own, then you should breeze a box-less engine.

The answer is no. You will need a crane or you will need to loop some rope around the top, hang it off of a piece of wood and get somone to help you.

you talking about lifting into/out of a car here or just transportation?
2people could lift it into a van pretty simply.

just transportation ie off the floor onto a nissan cabstar, will be renting a crane to put the engine in the car, will give it a go.....ill take my laptop with me to hospital to fix the hernea if it all goes bandy

Two people can easily lift it on a pallet, but it's awkward to move if it's not on anything.
With the gearbox on, it's still too heavy for three, so just tie some rope to it and drag it....
