rer one must work on twist, the axle isnt solid and the ARB runs through the middle.

So joff i should be able to get harder front and rear springs... do u have any idea about cost?

And is it therefore not worth me getting a new ARB?

Fronts would only be around £30 I'd have thought.

No idea on rear springs, but it wouldn't be an FK item. Scrap the platform on the rear and measure the height of the spring when its wound to get the height you're after for the new spring.

hmm its the rear thats the main bloody problem, i need summat stiff back there to stop the rubbing so i can lower it some more!

Will a stiffer set of front springs be ok with the 1.4, not too hard?

Don't lower it - they look gash when they're on the ground and you're ruining your handling.

Yes.

It looks higher at the rear because of the bumper.

What about adding a very thin (1cm) white splitter across the length of the rear bumper underneath the black?

Stiffer fronts will only make the rears feel softer/do more work. Firstly find out what poundage yours are and we'll work from there. I have 300lb fronts on my 1.2 16V which is a tad hard but I fitted them with the intension of a Valver going in very soon.
