Depends on whether you have the recess welded properly or have a fibreglass panel fitted over the boot. The panel is the cheaper option but going but word of mouth is prone to cracking.
To have the boot welded your looking at around £200 for a good job
Then you have the trouble of having to light the number plate up, the best way of doing this is to have a recess put into the the back bumper.

ab styling in Cardiff sell the smooth boot panels for around £50. The also pop up on ebay every now and again.
You should go to a local bodyshop and ask for a quote on smoothing the boot.
