i would like to know this also.

another thing is you could put in a ecotec engine as they might be alower insurance group.

If you can pay for it then you can have it. They aren't just going to say no to you when they could easily make a couple of grand off you. I know somone who had a Subaru P1 for his first car.

im looking at paying around £1400 tpft its about my limit

i would be 18 with 1 years no claims by the time it was done

do the insurance companys want to know the donar car or details of mine changed to a 2ltr ?

clean licence etc? my little brother wound me right up when he bought and insured his ducati 998... the little booger, coz of past indescretions i cant afford to look at such a machine

You wont be expirienced enough to drive a powerful car though. You will stuff it into a tree and die, thats why the insurance will be tripple what you are prepared to pay.

There is no minimum age though. If you can afford it then you can have it. Though you will probably die young.

that is true. jumping into a big engined car with no progression is not a clever thing to do. thats all im gonna say about that

yeh you could get 1 at 17 but insurance would be dear. My mate got quoted £300 for a rover 800 turbo third partyt fire and theft.

i got a quote from adrian flux today, which came to £1600 tpf&t. thats with no noclaims, pass plus, premium member discount and limited to 5,000 miles a year.
and i m 19

im 19, 2 years no claims, fuly comp for £1800. Was £2k with 1years NCD, including corsasport discoint ,which saved me about £200 too!
