driving towards a cross junction. traffic lights operating here.
my light is green, driving 30mph. opposite side thers a mahoosiv juggernaut 16 wheeler thing coming towards me, in the opp direction.
then the kunt decides to change course of direction and turn right at the lights, so hes turnin left from my point of view at the cross junction.
when he decides to do this, im about 20 yards away from the junction.
his windscreen is smashed and i dont think he can see much. so he turns right, and THEN indicates, but im driving forward, and i have right of way obviously as im goin straight and my lights r green.
he didnt stop at all began to turn in, i braked harshly! wheels lockd. smoke everywhere! i went ballistic!
hes wavin his hands about saying sorry i didnt c u (due to his smashd windscreen!!)
i indicate left right left right shoutin at him to use his indication properly n look! i was metres away from hittin him
regret it now. shud have hit hit. i need a new car lol.
my question, is this accident debate-able, or is it 100% the truckers fault??

if you'd have crashed into him out of spite, he probably wouldn't have noticed as he was in a 16wheeler and you'd have end up fucked. probably too pissed off to think to take the plate .

yer it would have been his fault plus he would have been charged with using an un-roadworthy vehicle regarding his smashed windscreen!
bastards!

No he wouldnt, for all you know it may have happened earlier in the day in which case you are able to continue to a suitable place to have it repaired/replaced. Windscreens dont count towards an un-roadworthy vehicle even tho it'll fail an MOT. You can drive all year with a broken screen as long as it is replaced for the MOT.
Sounds like he may not have seen you for whatever reason although not sure how as he was high up enough to see.
Never mess with a truck whether they were in the wrong/ you need a new car or not. You will lose and not just your car.

if a chip, crack, smash obsucures your view you can be pulled over and fined, and your car impounded if you refuse to ring autowindscreens or whatever to get it repaired, its happened to a mate of mine, ha had to wait there untill his screen was repaired

Unless its a massive smash that obscures the screen then i it aint gonna block your view. Unless someone cucked a brick thru it whilst driving thru Luton
