neigh on £900

was having my arm twisted to having a LET but wasnt a viable option

all the sand from it being shot blasted got into my engine and siezed the oil pump so basically its got to be stripped down

list of parts sits as:

belt and kit
water pump
new sum gasket
head gasket
lifters
cams (as cams were scorred)
shells
rod bolts
oversized pistons (thought why not?)
new rings
new oil pump

few more bits....

i reckon my cars cursed XE has only been in 2 years after my 1.4 blew up from oil pump failure (again)

had it all shinee for trax too

so warnign to all dont get your rocker shot blasted

and the moral of the story...

always make sure that after having something shot-blasted, its then pressure washed & thoroughly cleaned

i did think this then rebuild this one up but it means forking out 400 for a new xe then the cost of rebuilding mine up again so might as well strip it while its out and fit tall the new bits so it will have a sound bottom end ready for TB's

basicly out of the deal i am gettin new oversized pistons, re bore and rings which are usually 100-150 a pop (i get four) and then arp rod bolts and basically a fully rebuuilt engine
