Didn't you read the bit in most Haynes manuals about how the good car owner keeps good maintaince at all times, meaning that they shouldn't need to worry about MOT's

Couldn't you remove one end of the hose and zip tie a loop into it to essentially shorten it the re-fit?

Yeah goodridge hoses, im not impressed with em cos when i fitted the rears they wouldnt pass through the mounting bracket on the back so i had to get the dremel grinder out and modify the mounts for em!!!
i did that man, its been adjusted over and over, no matter what position it is in the hose rubs the drive shaft, im gutted man, think its because my G-max springs have dropped the front more like 70+mm its a little low

mine has never failed an mot and its done 149,000 miles
headlights are easy to do, dont need to bother with a line, just shine against a fence until they look right, do one side at a time, 5 mins max.

Standard hoses are fitted and on the car, pedal feels fine, but i have got braded hoses still on the rears, hehe, so that kinda makes up for it
Couldnt tell the difference to be honest
