i ordered some lexus black rear clusters for my girl friend about a week ago, they came last nite, and one of the corners had chipped away (in transit i guess).
Now ive had to fit the lights as a guy has came to pick her old lights up.
So respectively i emailed the company 9am this morning (still not hear back) to see what they would like to do. A copy of the email is below.
What do you think they will say? (or should say?)
I Also attached a photo of the chipped corner.
Dear Sir/Madam,
I recently recieved my order yesterday of ford Focus lexus black lights ( i
have the serial number at home).
On the near side (left) there is a chip on the top left corner and the
broken off bit is left in the box.
Unfortunatly, i have had to fit these lights as i had someone drive down
from quite a distance to buy my original lights, but luckily the snapped bit
is after the seal so no water can get it.
Now im not too sure the best way to go around this, ideally, i would prefer
it if you could send a replacement near side rear light and i'll replace it
and send you the damaged item straight back, or would i definatly have to
send you the damaged item first in order for a replacement?
I have attached a photo to show you the damaged bit.
I look forward to hearing back from you,
Regards

i cant.
But then surely any half decent company will surely keep the customer happy, and replace them, and send them back to the manufacturer for a refund?

If it was my company I would tell you were to go...fair enough if there in the packing then swap them but after they have been fitted?? no chance...one unhappy customer will not bankrupt them...

i would have thought they won't replace them as you have fitted them. for all they know you could have damaged them when you fitted them.i wouldn't have mentioned fitting them if i was you.
