really wanted to keep it and 2ltr it maybe a LET............would of been alright but had someone crash into one side of it, leaving a dent, not major but creased. then someone ran a brick down bonnet, and now a deer has dented the other side..
so now needs some work at bodyshop, so i thought i'd buy some bits and get a full respray, so got, post 97 front and rear bumpers, gsi skirts, delocked handles and smooth scuttle, de wipered it too. also got a zaust, decat, and suspension and alloys......so just needs fitting
but am thinking £1500 on engine conversion, then £1k on bodywork. then £500 odd on brakes and odds and sods.
but i could buy one already done for £3k. and then try and get rid of mine.....
its not a bad car (my one) just looks tatty, got no rust at all.........but doubt i'd get much money for it, prob be hard to find a buyer..
what to do????

wel do the work then come to a santapod day you'll think its the best decision you ever made  keep it a sleeper

if you dont think you would get that much for it, then you might as well spend the money on it. At least you would know everyting about ur car, rather than buying one that may have hidden problems and end up costing more.

No help but i am in a similar position - I have the opportunity to buy GSI front and back, arches and skirts and fogs for £160, speedlines for £400, but will also need to lower (£300ish), as well then fixing some chips in body work and 2 rust bubbles and spray the GSi Kit and tyre the new wheels, will come to about £2k
I could get about £1k for my motor, and the £2k il save by leaving it as standard will make £3k... plus a bit of saving and id have a nice black ibiza already lowered on nice multi spokes and a sweet front splitter and skirts.
or i could just drive the corsa into the ground!

it would deffo be a sleeper if i do get it done....
@ Andy, thats one good thing, i know my car and know thats it sound......have owned it for 2.5yrs 
is just edging onto 100,000 miles now.......
could get conversion done and leave it dented and scratched

i'm not into looks or comfort and always chucking fishing stuff in there.......
would make a false floor for rear, but wood weighs quite a bit..

For £3k you could have a 2.0 V6 car with discs all round electric everything and air con. Wont be as fast as a 2.0 corsa but will handle better
