what do ppl think of them thinking about getting one as they are oldskool,cheap(to buy) and fast looked on parkers cant find insurance group,someone give me low down what to look for would be great
also the cab version to mincy ?

talking about the 16v, would a 19yr old with 1yrs no claims get insured on one under £1500 also whats the 0-60 and 1/4 mile times cheers

Cheap pocket rocket but be aware that most have been ragged to shite and will be rusting by now.

no chance would you get insured for less than 2500 at that age, they are classed as a high risk car.

of course u will get insurance, probably under 1500 for third party

Well there are 19 year olds with 1 NCB insured on the same engine in a Corsa, which is even more high risk from the perspective of insurers...

Don't expect a great quote, but I *can* see it being under £2k...

Yeah i was paying £2k fully comp @ 19 with 1 years NCD. Still 19, but 2 years no claims and its down to £1800 fully comp with flux.

my mate had his at 19 which was super chipped, lowered , full exhaust, cams and was on his mum and dads insurance, and hes still on it now at 22 with his new gte. i want a gte aswel but finding a sound one that hasnt been thrashed is a job now.

It is hard to find a mint one, but they're so cheap now that you can buy one with rusted arches etc and pay a few hundred to get em done.
