right what do i need and what are the prices rouhly

engine £400
2l brakes £100
braided hoses £35
coilovers £500

what else will i need and are these prices realistic??

yes but how old are you its gonna be really expensive for insurance i was looking at putting a 2l engine in mine and no one would insure me (well not for a reasonable price anyway) my advice just get yourself some quotes b4 you do it cos insurance companies dont like engine mods

well 19 just now but thinkin of insuring it in ma own mane for a year then il be 21 with 1 yrs no claims

why dont u just w8 and stick a 2.0 16v u will get board after a bit with the 1.6 and for the amount of cash ur going to spending u cud get a gsi !!!

have a look in my garage. i have spent far to much on thic car. its fully smoothed roof the lot interior is mostly done just needing a retrim and tv built in and thats it

a engine mount, as 8v and 16v mounts sit in differant places
new throttle cable (as the end are differant)

make sure u get the chip and immoblizer unit for the 1.6 other wise the engines a £400 paper weight
