while i was in the isle of wight, the fukcers i call friends sat in my car all day (while i was asleep) and was listening to music.

As you can imagine, after about 5 hours, the battery went flat, they had the doors open too which didn't help.

Got it started with the leads then noticed that even when I closed all the doors and locked everything up, the courtesy light still stayed on and didn't turn off.

I've since had to disconnect the bulb in order to not get another flat battery.

Anyone experienced this before? Should i take it to Vaux and get them to do an electrics test on it?

Cheers

i don't see how the two are connected thats all

I thought the courtesy light was part of closed circuit and when the doors were closed then the light would go off. Thats why i'm a bit confused as to what the head light switch will do when pushed in. Didn't even realise you could push it in!

Lol you can pull the headlight switch out and push it in to activate the light. Its not just controlled by the doors. You can sometimes acidentally pop it out when turning the headlights on.

basically when you pull the switch out it sends the negative feed to the bulb, basically simulating what happens when the door opens.

Open the bonnet, you might find a 2.0l turbo hidden under there too!
