Last couple of days, ive noticed that the engine has completely cut out for about a second at the most, then carried on as normal. Done this 5 or 6 times, then today, it cut out and didnt come back to life. Dials were working fine, engine sounded like it was running, but it didnt matter how hard i had my foot on the accelerator, it just slowed down till it stopped and wouldnt restart. Got the jumpers on it, it started, took the leads off and it cut out again about 5 seconds later. Did this again, with me sitting in the car with my foot on the accelerator holding the revs up but it just died again. Tried one last time and there were huge sparks off the battery so we gave up and towed it Im thinking it might be an ECU fault (ECU is reading errors from 2 sensors even though we have changed them both, so its a possibility) or a short somewhere. When being towed home, the battery was so dead that even the hazards stopped working. So, any ideas people?!
