get a rag and put it behind the winder, then force it off that way.

Looks like you'll have to get brutal with it then, if you bugger it up, there cheap as chips to replace.....

Yep Drews correct There is an O spring on the inside that keeps them on and Vaux have the tool that you need.Just make a type off hook like the dentist uses and try and hook it off!

i used a rag, slid it behind the window winder and then pulled it side to side till the clip comes off.

The way everyone does it is by using a small piece of welding rod and just hooking it over the spring... Even says in the Haynes manual
