ring them and say that you told them the wrong colour when you first insured it and infact its the colour your gonna spray it!

But they would know the colour of your car anyway as it's declared on the V5.

what the fuck does a colour change matter. dont bother telling them. they dont usually ask the colour anyway

colour change matters due to certain colour cars being a higher target for damage or theft

ie - yellow is a greater risk than red

ive changed my V5 but not rung insurance yet, picking the car up in 2 hours. The new colour is a really dark blue, that looks almost black soemtimes, so is there much point in even telling them?

anything that has been changed after it left the factory, needs to be declared to ur insurance company. As Drew said, colour change might make it more desirable to pikies

same here didnt ask me ethier did tell em if was a speicalist paint but said it didnt matter crystal flakes
