How much would it cost to get a gearbox fitted?

Was walking down a local street and seen a Fiesta on an N reg with 50k on the clock going for £60 but needed a new gearbox. It would be a perfect runabout

The 106 is getting traded in on hopfully a new car soon. I don't really wanna use a new car for 3 min runs to the supermarket etc

scrappy gearbox around £40

then fitting about £60 2 hours labour then gearbox oil £10 and any other bits while your there

if you got it you could have it sorted for around £400 inc buying it

and sell the 106 and have a few k spare

no problem

check the floor by the seat bolts as ive just found out they rust there and also check the rear arches

aprt fom that there pretty solid little motors

I had a G reg fiesta at one point. The main prob is bubbling paint. I'll check the bolts under the seats tho.
